Blast from the past! BT What's Next event back in 2018.

It's always nice to be invited to speak at events like this. A chance to see what impact you can make on people at the beginningo of their careers!

When I look back at the event I remember having many conversations with the apprentices, graduates, and leaders. But the one I remember the most is the young lady who hated answering the phone. Whenever it would ring she would answer it really quickly and the caller would never hear her name. They would always wind up saying "I'm sorry, who are you?"

There are times when we think we can rush past things that scare us. However, there are three things you can do to get past this anxiety.

  1. Take a deep breath,
  2. Have your opening lines prepared
  3. Slow down your pace - articulate

BONUS - Have a picture of something that makes you happy in front of you. Or, as Peter Pan would say: think your "Happy Thought"

There are so many things that make me happy about this event. I will leave you to watch it and then maybe you can tell me - what made you happy?
